chibi_emperor: (....what?)
[Action; 1767 Beaver Street]

[Emperor moves where he is hovering not far above the floor. He is sleeping, but wakes up with a jerk. He doesn't know by what. He knows that it wasn't by any of the Code:Numbers though. Not by any Code:anything!

Looking around, he doesn't recognise his surroundings. Wait. That was weird. He couldn't notice Rei nearby. And since Rei had his arm, that was weird. He should always feel that bond with his host, shouldn't he?

He notices that he's hovering in the air, and tried to put his feet on the floor. It turns out impossible, though. Why can't he put his feet down? That's just ridiculus. He tries to see what was wrong with his feet for them not to be there, and sees... nothing. What?! There's got to be a mirror somewhere, right?

He finds one in the bathroom, and isn't at all happy with what he sees. Why is he back to being a fireball?!]
[Dist waves a hand rather blithely, shrugging.]

Never heard of you.

He will hate that so much. XD

Of course you haven't. How could we let a mere human outsider in on Eden.

[But with Heike having gone and let minister Fujiwara take control while he himself was sleeping, it wasn't really as much of a secret as it was back then.]
Well, it must be terribly uncomfortable for you to realize that none of that matters here, spark. You're a prisoner just like the rest of us.

And as for brat, you've been placed in one of the children's spaces here. Don't get too cocky.
(ooc: But the drone-kids are probably still sleeping, so Dist wouldn't have noticed that they're still there, I guess?)

I will not accept being held as some sort of prisoner.

I am not a child. I'm way over a hundred years, there is no reason to call me that.
You're certainly acting like one. And you don't have to accept it, but it's nonetheless true. I suppose you think it'll be you who comes up with the grand scheme for solving Mayfield's mystery, right?
In what way am I acting like a child? [Seriously. He did not act like a child, in any way possible.]

Who needs plans when you can just fight'em head on? So? Who do I need to burn?

You're just whining so much.

[Eventually Emperor will realize what a massively hypocritical statement this is.]

Head-on? We've tried that. Good luck with the Mayor or any of the Smiths, though; it would be interesting to see what a brainless sentient fireball is like.

I am not</i, you fool. You-- I will burn you until there is not even any ashes left after you!

Date: 2011-11-09 10:28 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] buildstherobots.livejournal.com
You're welcome to try! It wouldn't do anything, though. I've died... eight times? I may have lost count. Maybe I'll pour water over you?

Believe me, I will!

And don't you dare.

Date: 2011-11-09 10:39 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] chibi-emperor.livejournal.com
I doubt it.

[Seriously, he didn't know. He'd been stepped on as a fireball, but no one had ever poured water on him. But he doubted it would. His blue flame was something that could burn anything, and could not been put out (unless by a Rare Kind and they were few and far between). But who knew about this crazy place.]

Then why object so fiercely? Surely you're not afraid of an experiment?

You'd better not make living here any more tedious than it already is.

I will not be part of someone's 'experiment'!

I already told you. The only one that matters is me. I don't care what anyone else thinks.

Date: 2011-11-09 10:56 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] buildstherobots.livejournal.com
...You'll change your mind.

[Yeah, that echo is a little bit too close to home. Which statement is he responding to? It's hard to tell, but his arrogance ratchets back a few notches.]

Calm down. What else do you want to know?

Date: 2011-11-09 11:05 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] chibi-emperor.livejournal.com
No. I will not.

[He isn't known for changing his mind. Well, of course, he did change his mind about Rui, but she was special.]

Who are you?

Date: 2011-11-09 11:08 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] buildstherobots.livejournal.com
That's what I thought too.

My name is Dist.

Date: 2011-11-09 11:13 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] chibi-emperor.livejournal.com
You have a weird name.

[As if he has any right to say that.]

You're not Japanese.

Date: 2011-11-09 11:18 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] buildstherobots.livejournal.com
[Does Dist actually have patience? We're about to find out.]

...No, I'm not. And I don't care what you think of my name.

Date: 2011-11-09 11:33 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] chibi-emperor.livejournal.com
Heh. Doesn't make it any less weird.

Date: 2011-11-09 11:39 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] buildstherobots.livejournal.com
[Answer: no, no he does not.]

Shut up! It's not weird. And you wondered why I called you a child?

Date: 2011-11-09 11:43 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] chibi-emperor.livejournal.com
Hell yeah! I don't get why you'd call me that! How old are you, anyway? Maybe you're the child here!

this is the best family

Date: 2011-11-09 11:50 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] buildstherobots.livejournal.com
Hardly! You're the one being a little brat when I was just trying to help!

oh yes, it so is

Date: 2011-11-09 11:55 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] chibi-emperor.livejournal.com
Help? I don't see your blabbering actually helping anyone get out of here, bratling.

[Since Dist doesn't give his age, Emperor's just gonna asume that Dist is way younger than he is.]

Date: 2011-11-10 12:00 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] buildstherobots.livejournal.com
You'll regret that when you try everything we all have already and fail, spark!

[Well, technically, it's pretty true. Dist isn't going to admit it.]
What have you actually tried to do, child? Can't have been much if you just fail all the time.

the best possible scenario

Date: 2011-11-10 12:13 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] buildstherobots.livejournal.com
[Dist is bristling. It's making his collar rustle like an irritated bird.]

This is a reality that they can modify, whenever they want. Try to walk out of town, you loop back to the other side. Flying out is the same. Go on the highway? Get mauled by bears. Spy? They know you're there, and you get gassed. Outright attack? You don't leave a mark. Act out too much and they drone you. What plan do you have that doesn't fit any of those categories?!
I don't care about any plans! If nothing else works, I'll burn the entire place down! And who'd be scared of mere bears?
You won't be able to burn it down! And you can't kill the bears!

[The bears are way scarier in person. Really.]

bestest of the best! XD

Date: 2011-11-12 10:08 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] chibi-emperor.livejournal.com
Sure I will! And why the hell wouldn't I be able to kill the bears? I can just make them burn until there's nothing left!
